| Puerto Rico born and raised, Angel Valentin, that's me, is a photographer who lives in Puerto Rico AND Miami, Fl. He splits his time between both places. He runs a photography business called Angel Valentin Photography and covers a variety of assignments including: editorial jobs for magazines, portraits, feature, travel, celebrities, sports, commercial and advertising jobs for corporations both big and small and personal commissions. Angel Valentin worked 18 years as a staffer in The Miami Herald and The Sun-Sentinel. He was also Director of Photography in Puerto Rico's El Nuevo Dia for a little while. In 2008 he started his own photography business. Angel Valentin is a Pulitzer Prize winner (as a member of The Miami Herald Staff), and a Pulitzer Prize finalist (as a staff photographer with The Sun-Sentinel). He also received an HM from the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award. Additionally he has received several awards from the NPPA, NAHJ and other journalism organizations. Angel also teaches several workshops in photography (that's me, on the right with the camera, teaching a simple lighting workshop to newspaper photographers in Honduras) whenever and wherever he gets invited and has the time. "It's always good to share knowledge and experiences with others". He's taught in Honduras, Peru, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and a few states in the USA.
